Ted and Mary Boynton have led a truly unusual life. In it’s pages, Ted's memoirs chronicle the events that led to his becoming a civilian in uniform during World War II and flying over the Himalayan mountains from India to China. He writes about his earlier business career including selling advertising in americas premier picture magazine . He tells how he and Mary learned to sail in their 40s, which led to their humorous, ridiculous decision to sell everything, buy a large boat, and sail to the West Indies with their four children. In his early 50s, he found an unusual job which gave him and his wife summers free for sailing. In the years that followed, they sailed to 26 countries. They sailed across the Atlantic Ocean twice. The book includes over 120 personal photographs, giving a further glimpse of this amazing life.
