A psychiatric fiction that portrays the intersections of mass shooting, criminality and psychiatric illness. It opens with a teenager waking up the morning of his thirteenth birthday to find his mom watching a double traumatic event breaking news, a mass shooting event in a United States city and a massive take down of a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter in Iraq. In this narrative depicting an era of increasing mass shootings, Teyshaun, a brilliant software Engineering scientist confronts his mental illness. First, he journeys through childhood with characters who will be important in his life story. These characters are important in describing the psychiatric training, programs, and delivery of psychiatric care. Though Teyshaun's track in the field of security, espionage, and defense science starts while he is in college, his fascination with predators, tracking and their hunt had been since childhood. The idea of developing an App called SpiderCuda came from his interest on the spiders and barracudas he describes as quintessential predators. While the story deepens, the interplay between Teyshaun's spy App and the FBI in stopping another mass shooting reaches a crescendo. With exciting tropes, rapt suspense and intrigues, one wonders who will be the villain (mass shooter). Who is this mass shooter? Is it the man with a lifelong psychiatric illness or the criminal former gang member and ex-convict?
