Sophie, growing up in a family of mental illness and drugs, was forced into child pornography from ages 7-10. She goes on to lead a tragic life of alcohol, drugs, rape and loss, until reaching her bottom in jail. She is sent from rehab to a transitional program where she meets other women like herself, survivors of sex trafficking, including Emma. Emma, who aged out of foster care only to be groomed by a much older man for prostitution, is desperate to be loved. As Sophie fights for her future facing felony charged, she and Emma learn who they are and how to move forward with their lives with Jesus as their helper and guide. Sophie and Emma and the women they meet at The Haven, are fictionalized accounts of real women. Their journeys shed light on the healing and hope that thousands of survivors and their potential rescuers need to hear. Hope is out there, but only if it is made reachable to them. It is our prayer that by getting to know Sophie, Emma and the women at The Haven, others like themselves will find what they need to overcome, to become survivors.
