In The Road to Adventure, she sets out on a quest to find the Lost City, and somewhere therein the Book, picking up along the way a band of explorers including a penguin, a frog, and a beaver. The video's basic message is that with the Creator in our lives we are never alone. While the video could have used a shot of VeggieTales' cleverness or the Muppets' polish (the strings controlling the puppets' limbs are visible in nearly every scene), the perky characters and earnest songs will surely entertain children whose parents are seeking Christian videos for them to enjoy. The only caveat is that this 30-minute video is all setup--Ali never gets to the Lost City in The Road to Adventure; parents must buy Pahappahooey Island: The Lost City to find out how her journey turns out. --Anne Hurley
