On Borrowed Time

On his way from Denver to aid his friend, Wyatt Earp on a mission to take care of unfinished business in Arizona, Doc Holliday falls through a portal on Colorado mountain ranch. During his yearlong hiatus from the Wild West, Doc regains his health, bones up on history, and helps his hostess, Cassie Collins, intervene in a serious family tragedy. In turn, she takes him on a whirlwind tour of the modern world where he gets a good taste of life in the 21st century. Against his wishes and without his knowledge, she follows Doc back through the portal into 1882. Stuck with her for the time being, he leaves her in the care Josephine Earp in Gunnison while he and the Earp brothers go to Arizona. Upon his return, the two travel to Tombstone where Cassie interacts with the likes of Ike Clanton, Sheriff Johnny Behan, and Big Nose Kate. On their way back to the future, Doc and Cassie both realize that their relationship has progressed beyond friendship. Fate intervenes as they approach the portal and Cassie is left bereft until Doc finds a way to reconnect.
