About the Author Ila Clements has previously published two novels and now comes her Carolina Sagas - a work she is proud of. The first two stories are between the covers of this book and will be followed by at least three more. Ila grew up in the area she writes about. She is a "salt water lady" and proud of her heritage and roots. Although it has been many years since she lived in coastal eastern North Carolina, it will always be "home" to her. She also spent many years in Florida, and lived abroad for a year. Her husband, John, is retired and a native of Arkansas and they now live in the north central part of his home state. They have children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to round out their lives.
