There are few things that define a culture more than its cuisine. In fact, it is often the case that after a family immigrates to a new country that the recipes passed down from generation to generation are what endures longer than anything else! This book is a collection of such recipes. The Isaac and Stevens family immigrated from Syria and Lebanon to the United States in 1910, and they brought with them a variety of flavors and recipes cherished by their descendants. It has long been a goal of mine (the author) to preserve as much of this as possible for future generations. This book is a collection of recipes and stories, with some fun additions, so that this part of our family history will be accessible to anyone who is interested. Sahtein!
